Early 20th century holsters for those new-fangled semi-automatics were mostlyold-single and double-action holsters redesigned or reconfigured to
the new shape of these firearms. Many retained the same profiles
and features of standard cowboy holsters and our Wild Bunch
is no exception. It is period correct for the era.

This is a variation on our regular Askins holster. The
thumb break version is offered for those who desire a bit
more positive retention. This one is canted in the FBI rake
and is placed high on the belt to offer excellent concealment
for a short-barreled pistol. We offer it in a high and medium
ride for longer barrels. All barrel lengths are offered
in straight-up, crossdraw or FBI tilt configurations.

This holter is similar to Machete's (above) but with
a hair less rake and a different loop. The belt is a
mere 2" wide.
Mike's Retro "English" Holster

We call this open-topped Retro-style holster "English"
not because of any connection to the British Isles but to
the gent who helped us get the cutting pattern. From what
we understand, this is an older variation on the theme of
a Threepersons holster for the 1911. The open trigger and
square toe certainly suggest it. No matter what the origins,
it is a great looking field holster with a bit more coverage on
the slide and receiver than the Speed Scabbard style.
The pattern on this one is unique as it was adapted from
the engravings on the pistol itself. The holster can be
had plain or with any decorative elements you desire.

"Art Gecko" (aka Arizona Rose with a Gecko)
As you might imagine, we had quite a bit of fun with
this holster. It was commissioned by a former Arizona resident
with two purposes in mind -- to be stunningly beautiful
and to serve serious carry purposes. The holster was ordered
in a high crossdraw position. retention is assisted with
a tensioning screw. There is an internal re-enforcement
of Kydex which stiffens the top for ease of holstering.
The tooling may be imaginative, but it is a serious holster well-suited to the purpose of personal carry.

The pancake holster has been around for a long time. It's as good today as it was then. This one carries the pistol high and tight in a classic FBI tilt. It can be had with or without the break and in a crossdraw configuration if desired. For those of you who have problems drawing from a high riding holster, we can make it with a lower ride and the rake of your choice as well.

This gun rig has been set up for Wild Bunch events and therefore is shown with the safety strap behind the hammer rather than cocked and locked. It is, of course, available with the safety strap set for cocked and locked for those who wish to carry that way.

This is a copy of an old Gordon Davis style holster which one of our customers gave us to replicate. The holster has apparently not been in production for some time and we are happy to bring it back. It is similar in design to our Tension Screw Askins. The difference lies mainly in the placement of the tension screw and in the stitch detail.
This one, done with the Maricopa Floral is as beautiful as it is functional. As with all our holsters, we can build it in a crossdraw. We offer it in all colors and with any tooling pattern you might choose. Matching accessories of your choice are also available.

Our original field holster is somewhat of a retro design with a recurve that leaves the trigger area slightly exposed. This "improved" version is not so much an improvement as an accomodation to those who prefer a fully-enclosed trigger area or for those who simply prefer the look of this holster over the more retro one. this one is shown in a hammer down carry position. We certinly can do it cocked and locked for those who prefer to crry that way. As always, you can have it tooled your way and have it fitted to your particular belt width, ride and rake.

This holster was created as a 1911 Centennial project for
a custom pistol smithed by David Lauk. The holster is based
on the US military style -- complete with the wedge offfset
inside the holster. Unlike those carried by Uncle Sam's soldiers,
this holster is fully lined. It also varies from the military
in that the belt loop is stitched rather than a riveted on.
We were not trying to do the original style holster. Our goal
was to create a civilian model more tempting to a returning
doughboy or to someone who wants a beautiful military-stylefield holster.
As with all of our holsters, we offer matching belts and accessories.

The Retro is one of our most popular field holsters. It
offers excellent retention and it's medium ride is out of
the way and comfortable for all day carry. This one is raked
in the grips forward/muzzle back FBI cant. We also offer

At 1st glance, this holster appears to be just another Askins-style holster with a tension screw. The stitch pattern, placement of the tensioning screw and, in particular, the rake, say otherwise. This holster is designed for in back carry -- either in or near the small of the back (SOB) or over the rear pocket.
