This is our standard Field Holster. It is a no-nonsense slim jim design. This one has a closed toe and a thumb tab. As with all of our field holsters, toe, throat, safety mechanism, rake, ride and tooling patterns can all be modified to suit your needs, wants and desires.

The pancake holster is yet another of those iconic holsters. While it might not be the 1st choice for a personal protection rig when paired with larger-framed revolvers such as this colt Single Action, it still remains an outstanding field holster for such weapons. The revolver is held close to the body. This particular holster is configured in a high-riding FBI style rake.

There is an old saying that in every blacksmith's garden shed there is a wooden hoe. In this instance, we actually have at least one made of iron. (This one's Purdy's!)

In an attempt to ever-improve our holsters, we decided to see if there was a better solution to the integral shield or shroud to protect the front sight. We believe this really does the trick. Note how the sights are clear of the holster pouch's lip yet are still well protected by the added-on leather shroud.

There are simply times when there is no better place for a concealed carry weapon than in the small of the back. This IWB is our answer to this. The clip allows for easy on and off. On the J-Frame (shown), we cant the revolver for the lowest possible visibility profile. (On our autos, the carry profile is generally straight up due to pistol configuration.)

Unlike our standard IWB's (shown below), the topband on our SOB's is generally NOT reinforced. This is a compromise between getting the gun back in the holster quickly and personal comfort. We can make it with a reinforced topband if desired. And we can do the top band in any of our standard colors.

Two iconis holsters came from the influence of law officers along the El Paso/ Mexico Border. One was the Threepersons and the other was the Brill. The Brill was a halfbreed style with a stitched-through toe and a protruding bottom "lip" with a streamlined "wavy" loop. Most Brill holsters were done with a tiny basketstamp pattern. The carved ones are very rare as Brill disliked carved work intensely. When he did carve, the floral work was bold and what might be regarded nowadays as a bit "funky". There are very few examples of Brill's carved holsters. We did this one by extrapolating the design from known samples. The floral design of the loop is our own. Brill placed his large mark here and we thought that an all floral loop would honor the work more.

Retention and safety in the field while carrying a small, hammerless revolver can be a challenge. The customer who recieved this holster specified that the trigger area be covered (for protection against snagging against brush as well as to protect as much metal as possible). he also requested a sturdy strap over the trigger area. We also offer the same holster with a trigger break for those of you who prefer this method of retention.

This holster is shown with our Hamley geometric. Other borders, geometrics and carving designs can be had as well as matching belts and accessory items such as speedloaders, dump pouches or Tuff Strip holders.

This chest rig has a holster, shoulder pad and back keeper pad which are fully carved and background dyed. The straps are borderstamped to compliment the carved elements. Buckles and rings are "cast-engraved" stainless steel.
